The brief.

With the brand-new opening of Wildkicks, a space dedicated to fitness through Thai Boxing, strength and conditioning training and Pilates, Shane at JW Signs was tasked with printing a large wall mural going centre stage in the recently refurbished fitness studio.

Owner of Wildkicks, Alex Munro wanted something big and bold to be applied on to the painted surface right next to the main fitness area. Understanding the demands of such a tough environment, Shane knew it was super important that the correct printable vinyl was selected so he contacted Dorotape to discuss the project.

The outcome.

Although Dorotape had several suitable vinyl options, there was only one material that ticked all the boxes, making it the perfect choice for the job. ASLAN DFP08G is a polymeric grade vinyl with a non-reflective matt white finish that prevents glare from ceiling downlights, an ultra-high tack adhesive that bonds well to uneven surfaces and a grey pigment in the adhesive giving it a high level of opacity.

The last consideration was the ink compatibility to the Roland TrueVis VG2 640 that JW Signs recently invested in and again ASLAN DFP08G was the ideal choice. With exceptional print quality, ASLAN DFP08G was printed in one hit, laminated with Poli-Print 1235 Transparent Matt laminate before being applied with ease to the wall, transforming the fitness studio a truly professional look and ambience.
